An Indian man was allegedly stabbed to death by his flatmate during a drunken brawl in Bahrain.

The two men, both from India, fought over who should pay more after one accused the other of drinking more than his share of the liquor.

Sampat, 25, from Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, was stabbed in the stomach and chest and died in an ambulance on way to the Salmaniya Medical Complex.

The other man fled the scene and police were looking for him, media reports said.
