A year after Badaun made headlines around the world for the alleged rape and murder of two girls, reports of yet another case of sexual assault are coming in from this western Uttar Pradesh district.

Two policemen, who have since been suspended, are accused of gang-raping a 14-year-old girl in Musajhag police station premises.

The girl was abducted from her house on December 31 by two constables -- Veer Pal Singh Yadav and Avnish Yadav -- who took her to the police station premises and allegedly raped her, Superintendent of Police (City)

Lallan Singh said.

An investigation is underway and the police are on the look-out for the two accused who are believed to be absconding.

Badaun made headlines after two girls, who were cousins, were found hanging from a tree a year ago.

The police had said that the girls were raped and hanged alive, but the CBI last month filed a report that said all evidence pointed to suicide.
