Bad company! Kejriwal shares space with Osama, Hafiz Saeed in posters in Surat

October 14, 2016 12:09 IST

Ahead of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s rally in Surat on October 16, posters of the AAP leader with Burhan Wani, Hafiz Saeed and Osama bin Laden, terming them as “heroes of Pakistan have surfaced in the city.

The Delhi CM will be accompanied by AAP leaders Kumar Vishwas and Sanjay Singh.

While AAP blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party, the saffron party has rejected the allegations against them and said they have nothing to do with such banners.

Surat AAP spokesperson Yogesh Jadvani was quoted by The Indian Express, saying, “The banners had been put up by BJP workers as they don’t want the Kejriwal meeting to take place. We have removed eight such banners. We are expecting over one lakh people to attend Kejriwal’s public meeting. AAP leaders Kumar Vishwas and Sanjay Singh will also accompany Kejriwal.”

Kejriwal who will leave for Gujarat on Friday will address the crowd on Sunday at Yogi chowk and a huge turnover is expected by the party.

Kejriwal is also scheduled to meet Gujarat Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti  convenors during his visit to Ahmedabad and Surat.
