Two days after he broke his fast, yoga guru Ramdev was on Tuesday discharged from hospital where he was undergoing treatment for dehydration and weakness.
"His health is better. We have advised him to abstain from yoga for two-three days and take rest. Once he has improved, he can get back to his regular schedule," said Dr S L Jethani, Medical Superintendent, Himalayan Hospital.
Ramdev ended his nine-day long fast on June 11 on the requests of Sri Sri Ravishankar and other spiritual leaders.
He was fasting from June 4 demanding tougher anti-corruption laws and seeking return of black money stashed away abroad.
"Ramdev's health is stable. His blood pressure and pulse rate have improved. We have advised that he can be discharged," Jethani said.
Doctors said Ramdev had taken fruits and juices in the morning.
Ramdev was admitted to the Himalayan Hospital along with his aide Balakrishna after being forcefully removed from Patanjali Yogapeeth in Haridwar on June 10 where the duo were fasting with their supporters.
