Frankston Magistrates Court heard the alleged victim was punched in the head and subjected to racial taunts after catching a bus from the Frankston railway station early last year, according to a report in ABC.
It is understood the three men are the first to be prosecuted under section 24 of the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act. Their lawyers have indicated they will contest the charges, the report said, adding that the matter will return to court in July.
The details of the victim were not revealed in the report.
