On a six-day visit to the south American country, the spiritual leader -- in separate events -- addressed the Argentine Senate, 1,600 business leaders and nearly 14,000 Argentinians.
Addressing a gathering, Sri Sri Ravishankar said: "Society has four pillars - politics, business, academics and religion. Human values and spirituality form the base of these four pillars. Without human values, there is unrest in politics; greed and lack of trust in business and knowledge without wisdom in academics. Religion without human values causes strife. So it is important to broaden one's vision."
Argentine Vice-President and Senate President, Julio Cobos honoured Sri Sri Ravishankar with a citation for Art of Living's exceptional work in Argentina in the last 17
years. Further, it has been decided that the Argentine Senate will begin all its sessions with meditation.
He also visited the largest prison, one of the 26 prisons in Argentina where Art of Living has been conducting its transformational Prison Programmes. During his tour, Sri Sri Ravishankar will also visit the world's only non-receding glacier in the world at Perito Moreno and conduct a 'Meditation on Ice'.
