In the unique setting of the London Zoo, Angad Paul, the youngest son of NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul, tied the knot with Michelle on Sunday night.

Thirty-four-year-old Angad, chief executive of Caparo Group, founded by his father, and Michelle, a solicitor, got married according to Hindu and Jewish rites. The marriage was solemnised near the statue of Lord Paul's daughter Ambika, who died of leukaemia in 1968.

"We decided to celebrate the wedding near Ambika's statue so that we have her presence on such a great family occasion," Lord Paul, who is also British Ambassador for Overseas Business, said.

Around 300 close relatives and friends were present on the occasion. Among the guests were Sarah Brown, wife of Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown, their son John, Indian industrialists Subrato Roy and K K Birla and their families, leading hotelier Lalit Suri and his wife and Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal with wife Mehr Jessia.

A formal wedding reception is planned in New Delhi on October 25 and another one in London later.

Angad, who is also involved in film production, is the executive producer of 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', 'Snatch' and 'School for Seduction'. His forthcoming productions include 'Rang De Basanti' with Bollywood star Aamir Khan.
