Amravati: Sunil Shetty, Azhar gather crowd for Shekhawat

The road show of Bollywood star Sunil Shetty and cricketer-turned-politician Mohammad Azharuddin organised by the Congress candidate and President Pratibha Patil's son Rajendra Shekhawat to woo voters saw good turnout in Amravati.

In a melee, youths ran helter-skelter and fell on bicycles standing along the road. However, nobody was injured.

The road show started from Rajkamal square and culminated at Panchawati square.

Sunil Shetty along with Rajendra Shekhawat was on the truck. From Nagpuri gate, Mohammad Azharuddin also joined them.

Both celebrities received grand welcome by people who were standing on both sides of the road. As the truck travelled through various localities, people threw garlands at Azhar and Sunil Shetty.

As the rally reached Panchawati, Azhar came down from the truck.While Shetty coming down from the truck, over enthusiastic youths gathered around him to do shake hands and to speak with him.

As a large mob ghearoed the truck, the police cane charged people which resulted in panic. However, the situation was soon brought under control.
