Allegations baseless, says Yeddyruppa

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, who is holidaying in Mauritius issued a statement stating that he will complete his term as the CM.

Yeddyurappa has been in the eye of the storm ever since the leaked Lokayukta mining report mentioned his name as one of the main accused in the case. He termed the allegations as baseless, and said he discuss the same once he is in Bangalore.

Although he did not say it in as many words he said that the report was rubbish, said a source.

Meanwhile, the opposition is already laying the ground work to seek for Yeddyruppa's resignation. They say that the Bharatiya Janata Party has no moral right to fight a war on corruption when their leader himself is mired in controversy.

A source said that a section of the BJP is also discussing the various options about a leadership change.
