The Canadian police have reportedly found the charred remains of the body an Indo-Canadian woman who had disappeared.

The body was found on the seaside of Delta (British Columbia).

There have been several reports that Manjit Panghali, 30, who taught grade 1 at North Ridge Elementary School, and  was four month pregnant, went to a prenatal yoga class from her home in Surrey on October 17 and there was no trace of her after that.

Her burnt body was found October 23, said police constable Sharlene Brooks, Delta Police.

"This defies comprehension. Mrs Panghali and her unborn child have had their lives taken prematurely and very tragically."

Panghali's husband, Mukhtiar Panghali, a physics teacher at Surrey High school, reported about mysterious disappearance of his wife, 26 hours after she went to prenatal class.

He said he did not call the police before that because he wanted to exhaust all possible sources.

The police have also completed forensic identification of Panghali's 2001 Honda Accord, as the car was recovered first before they found the body.

Mukhtiar Panghali said his wife was a happy person and before leaving for her pre-natal class, had told him: 'I'm going to prenatal class. Have fun. Will see you soon'.
