AICC expels five party delegates from Bihar

Acting tough, the Congress high command expelled five party delegates from Bihar for heckling senior party leaders and unruly behaviour during the All India Congress Committee plenary in New Delhi recently.

Bihar Congress chief Chowdhary Mahboob Alam Kaiser expelled B N Sharma, Abdul Fatah, S K Tiwari, Shakeel Alam and R N Chowdhary from the primary membership of the party for six years, party spokesperson Prem Chandra Mishra told PTI.

Those expelled were charged with heckling senior party leaders including in-charge

of party affairs in Bihar and Union minister Mukul Wasnik and Kaiser, accusing them of selling party tickets during the assembly elections in the state, Mishra said.

They were also accused of instigating their supporters to indulge in unruly behaviour at the AICC headquarters and also before the residence of AICC president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi. They were also found involved in acting against party candidates in their respective areas, he said.
