The Civil Aviation Ministry on Friday said there will be no rethink on the derecognition of Indian Pilots Guild despite the pilots' decision to withdraw their agitation on the SARS issue.
"There is no question of revising the [ministry's] stand on the derecognition of IPG, which caused a lot of financial and image loss to Air-India," sources in the ministry said.
Disciplinary action against 45 suspended pilots would also
be taken to its logical conclusion, they added.
Expressing satisfaction over the withdrawal of IPG directive to pilots to not fly to SARS affected areas, ministry officials criticised IPG for not keeping the national interest in mind.
Referring to the talks between the IPG and Union Labour Ministry, the sources said the Air-India management had referred the derecognition of the IPG to the Regional Labour Commissioner.
