Resorting to rhetoric ahead of the first-ever National Security Adviser-level talks, Pakistan has accused India of involvement in terrorism, saying “enemy” within the country gets money from abroad to create law and order problem.
The “enemy” hitting the border villages through shelling was also “involved in terrorism” in Pakistan, Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan said after addressing a passing out parade of Punjab Rangers in Mandi Bahuddin in Punjab.
Without naming India, Khan said the same enemy was behind terrorism who, on the one hand, talks of friendship but also shells the civilians along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary.
“This is the same enemy into whose eyes we look at the Wagah border daily,” he said on Wednesday.
He said that Pakistan’s enemy within the country get money from the outside to create law and order situation.
“There are elements within us who target innocent people in return for money they receive from the enemy country. We have to win the war against terror at all costs,” he added.
His comments came just days ahead of meeting of National Security Adviser Sartaj Aziz with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval in New Delhi. The talks scheduled on August 23 are expected to go ahead as per schedule.
