a. In spite of having been bitten once during the Lahore process , he is consistently trying to push for political solution for Kashmir unlike others who have been maintaining a status quo , he is taking the risks, but not hurrying.
b. Despite the political rivalry with his own allies he was able to keep them united , by waging many mini battles often conceding and main times reining over them .
the earlier coalitions simply couldn’t sail
c. He has been giving a consistent face lift about the image of India , this in spite of Pokaran when India was snubbed by the world .
d. Able to stay away from the communal fires both from within the party and its supporters and also outside the party (best example is the Christian’s issue even though there were rumblings in 99 these days we hardly see them)
e. On the economic front he did'nt fair that good ,The FDI's are not as much as expected , the divestments are not fetching the handsome revenues as was expected the justification here could be because the reforms are taking place and hardships are inevitable added to that the international rise in oil prices and general economic slow down all around , but still the GDP is expected to grow at around 5 % against a targeted 7-8 %, all said AVB is yet to show up well in this area, still one cannot produce miracles , if he doesn't show positive results in this area he will be shipped out by the same time next year, for now it can be taken that he is battling fires one after the other.
