The man who became the Highest Run getter in the cricketing world, The man who also became the first person to score 50 international centuries. Yes the reasons are pure cricketing, but does any other faculty demand any respect what so ever. You must be thinking the award is for "Indian of the Year" not Cricketer.. " but who else deserves it. Azhar brought shame with many others, the PM of India is in the midst of controversy in the Babri Masjid case. Sachin has brought pride and respect to the nation, though through cricket but atleast he brought it. Of course comparing him with Malleshwari and Priyanka chopra the only two who can give him competition, i would still go for him. As he surpasses them by miles. Today if the 3 stand face to face each other they make the 3 ratna's of India. But the one ratna (Sachin) is going to shine forever who will command more popularity than any other person. The 2nd (assuming malleshwari) would fade away and the last but not least would soon be carried away by glamour n obdurance.
