His mere determination to occupy the PM's post after repeated failures,suceeding to act as a lubricant between the various political parties which form the NDA & the national pride with which he governed (is governing)the country is worth praising.
The most important part was that of strengthening the relationship with the US which has taken the country to the forefront in the world's economy & international peace.This probably is the reason why Israelis and Palestinians favoured India's assistance for mediating in settling the long struggle for peace in the region.
It is his effort that made foreign investment flow like water in India.
Now the recent ceasefire in the kashmir valley says about his boldness and courage in handling the country's security concerns. This may be an out come of Mr.Clinton's visit but one cannot neglect the significance it has concerning us and hat's off for taking such step.
He has shown his capability in maintaining human relations by pursuading his allies in the government in many occassions which is in the interest of our country, as India cannot afford two elections in two years.
India has also seen the substantial strengthening of its defence sector under his government, after which we the indians feel that we can effectively handle the various negative deeds of Pakistan.
How can one forget the concern faces of each indian during MR.vajpayee's knee operation? This only signifies the popularity of this great gentleman.
Mr.Vajpayee is undoutedly the INDIAN OF THE YEAR.
