Pak defence delegation leaves for US
A seven-member Pakistani delegation, headed
by Defence Secretary Lieutenant General Iftekhar Ali Khan, left for
Washington to attend a US-Pak defence
consultative group meeting.
The three-day meeting will start on October 15.
The meeting assumes importance as only 11 months are left
before Pakistan can move the US courts on the issue of acquisition
of the F-16 fighter aircraft for which it has already paid up.
The delegation includes Defence Ministry Director General
Aqueel, Production Secretary Lt General Lahra Khan and
Additional Secretary Major General Jamshed.
