Lankan navy kills two Tamil Nadu fishermen

Two Tamil Nadu fishermen were shot dead by the Sri Lankan navy while fishing off the Kodiakarai coast on Thursday evening. Four others sustained bullet injuries.

Reports received at the Madras police head quarters say six fishermen were engaged in fishing when the island's navy personnel fired from a helicopter.

Fishermen Inbaraj and Francis were killed on the spot, police said.
