Six die as godown collapses near Coimbatore

Six people, including two children and two women, were crushed to death and two others injured when a huge godown collapsed at Nanjegoundenpudur near Coimbatore on Friday.

The collapse was caused by incessant rains in the city.

Police said the victims, who were sleeping in houses adjacent to the godown, were caught under the debris of the collapsing structure. The injured have been admitted to the Coimbatore medical college hospital.
