Ganesha -- the lord of beginnings and our most well-loved god -- will be a special and very honoured guest in our homes from Saturday.

We will fete him.

Feed him the choicest sweets.

And worship him with love.

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in Indian communities all across India and the world. But Ganesha is worshipped several times a year in Indian homes -- when a new car is purchased or exams are approaching or to make certain any new beginnings are auspicious.
