UP to spend Rs 408.8 million on Lucknow beautification

The Uttar Pradesh government proposes to spend Rs 408.8 million for the development and beautification of historical and other important places in the state capital, the assembly was informed on Tuesday.

The government plans to spend Rs 267 million on providing traffic lights and constructing flyovers and a ring road to streamline the traffic.

An amount of Rs 67.7 million has been earmarked for developing old parks and Rs 176.2 million for constructing new parks, the assembly was told.

The government also proposes to earmark Rs 3 million for the development and beautification of main crossings in the state capital.
