US Senator Edward Kennedy collapsed during the Congressional luncheon after the inauguration of Barack Obama [Images] as the 44th President of the country, a report said.

According to the CNN, Senator Kennedy collapsed at the inauguration luncheon. However, channel did not give any details leading to the collapse of the veteran Democratic leader from Massachusetts.
Kennedy had to be wheeled out of the Capitol on a stretcher, media reports said, adding that the US Senator had brain tumor removed last year.
