Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma has been given the additional charge of Information and Broadcasting Ministry till Priyaranjan Dasmunsi is indisposed.

President Pratibha Patil [Images] allocated the additional charge to Sharma on the advice of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images], a Rashtrapati Bhavan [Images] statement said late Saturday night.

Sixty two-year-old Dasmunsi is undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences where he was admitted on Monday following a severe heart attack.
