Gujjar agitation: WR cancels trains to north India

Western Railways on Thursday cancelled six passenger trains to north India and diverted four due to the agitation by members of the Gujjar community in Rajasthan and the National Capital Region.

The Garibrath express from Mumbai's Bandra Terminus to Nizamuddin, Firozepur express from Mumbai Central to Amritsar [Images], August Kranti express from Mumbai central to Nizamuddin, Avadh express from Bandra terminus to Muzaffarpur, Dehradun Express from Bandra terminus to Dehradun and Jammu Tawi express (holiday special) from Mumbai central have been cancelled, WR sources said.

The trains that are diverted include Rajdhani from Mumbai Central to New Delhi, Jammu Tawi express from Bandra Terminus, Paschim express to Amritsar, the Golden Temple express. They were diverted via Nagda, Ujjain and Bhopal.
