British-born science fiction writer and visionary Arthur C Clarke died at a private hospital in Colombo on Wednesday morning, his office said. According to officials, Clarke, who had been in and out of hospital, died in Apollo Hospital aged 90.
Rediff.com reader Kalyan sends in a picture of his friend Georgios Georgiadis, from when he met Sir Clarke in Sri Lanka [Images] in 2001. "It's a great feeling to meet such a great fiction writer," writes Kalyan.
