Hillary still in race: Chatwal
June 05, 2008
Democratic party candidate Barack Obama may have won a historic nomination for the election for president of the United States, but his rival Hillary Clinton has not conceded defeat.

While the rest of the world goes gaga about Obama's electrifying victory as the first black man ever to seriously contest an American presidential election, she has refused to concede the election so far.

Chatwal's mega fundraiser for Hillary

Indian-American businessman Sant Chawal is known for his proximity to Hillary and her husband, former US president Bill Clinton [Images]. In April, when she won a major victory in the Democratic presidential primary in Pennsylvania, Chatwal and his wife Daman, seen in the photograph alongside, presented Hillary with a statue of Lord Ganesha.

On Wednesday, soon after Obama's triumph, Sant Chatwal told photographer Mohammed Jaffer/Snaps India, "She is still a candidate for president and is making her case as to why she should be the nominee. She's going to be taking the next couple of days to make her case to unpledged delegates and super delegates."

America is willing to change

Interestingly, Chatwal reserved his comments on Obama.
