Dr Saraj, an associate of alleged kidney transplant kingpin Amit Kumar, on Monday surrendered in a Gurgaon court.

Saraj, a resident of Shahdara in Delhi, was absconding since January 24, the day the raid was conducted at Kumar's hospital in Gurgaon.

He surrendered in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ranjana Agarwal, who sent him to a day-long judicial custody.

Saraj will be produced before the magistrate for hearing on Tuesday.

Kumar's brother Jeevan is still absconding.
