Tenzing Dolma, a 21-year-old BPO executive, is Miss Tibet 2007.
Dolma, working in Delhi, was chosen ahead of Karnataka's Tsering Yanjom, who was named the first runner-up, while Sikkim's Diki Dolma was the second runner-up at a glittering function held at Macleodganj in Himachal Pradesh on October 14.
While Tenzing was given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, Tsering bagged Rs 50,000 and second runner-up Diki got Rs 25,000. A total of five contestants participated in the three- day pageant that included a swimsuit round on the opening day on October 12.
The participants also danced to the tunes of traditional Tibetan numbers and popular Bollywood songs. Seven rounds of competition, including swim wear, traditional costume, interview, talent and presentation (talk on Tibetan culture, history, current affairs), were held.
The winners were also chosen on the basis of over 11,000 votes received from across the world through the Internet and SMSes. Tibetans settled across the country and abroad participate in the annual pageant organised by a socio-cultural group since 2002.
