Bhavna Yadav, a witness in the Nitish Katara murder case, on Wednesday told a Delhi court that her sister Bharti had no special relationship with the deceased and that this could be backed by photographs.
Bhavna, sister of main accused Vikas Yadav, said the photographs of Bharti with other friends were similar in content to those with Nitish Katara.
"I have some photographs of Bharti with other friends showing that she had no special relationship with Nitish. I can produce the photographs in the court, if they are not exposed to the media," she said.
Deposing before Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur, Bhavna also denied that Bharti had any relationship with Nitish, which could have been formalised into marriage.
The court has listed the case on March 30 directing Bhavna to produce the said photographs.
Concluding her deposition, she also denied that Bharti's relations with Vikas were strained due to her alleged closeness to Nitish.
Nitish Katara, son of an IAS officer, was murdered on the night of February 16-17, 2002, in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where he had gone to attend the marriage of their common friend Shivani Gaur.
