A murder convict, facing death penalty, ended his life by hanging himself in his cell in the Jaipur central jail on Sunday.
According to jail authorities, Babloo, alias Mubark Hussain (30), was sentenced to death for murdering his wife and four children by a trial court in Nagaur district in April 2006.
Hussain had reportedly confessed to the crime before the trial court.
Subsequently, the Rajasthan High Court and Supreme Court disposed of his appeal against the death penalty. Jail authorities said his clemency petition was pending before the President of India.
