The two IEDs, weighing one kg each, were noticed by the security personnel during patrolling at Hamzapora village on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway on Monday morning, official sources said, adding that the two explosives were quickly defused by the bomb disposal squad.

Both the IEDs were planted on a link road adjacent to the highway. The first IED was detected around 9.15 am while the second was noticed half-an-hour later as the area was being searched by security forces, the sources said.
