He, however, added that the United Progressive Alliance would look into the issue. "Basically, we still feel that the Telangana Rashtriya Samiti is part of United Progressive Alliance. The entire thing will have to be looked at by the UPA. Yes, I have received resignation letters of both the ministers", he added.

Apart from MSR who had dared KCR to quit and seek re-election from Karimnagar constituency and offered to contest against him, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, who represents Kamareddy assembly segment in Medak Lok Sabha constituency represented by TRS leader Narendra, had been posing a challenge to him to resign from the Lok Sabha and contest again. He offered to take on Narendra in the by-election.

Answering questions at a media conference, Dr Reddy termed the "resignations" issue a "storm in a teacup." He said there was nothing new in the challenges and counter-challenges traded between the Congress and TRS leaders in the last couple of days.

"The issue is not relevant since the TRS is still a part of the UPA. Both members had posed challenges to each other. Even APCC President K Keshava Rao and TRS leader A Narendra indulged in a war of words against each other." he remarked.

Taking exception to MSR's remarks that the challenges between him and KCR were a 'personal' one and nothing to do with the party, the chief minister argued to prove that the issue is a personal one. "He (MSR) would contest the election on the party (Congress) ticket and not as an independent," he added.

Dr Reddy asserted he has a 'clear' attitude on Telangana issue. In spite of knowing that the issue was in the hands of Congress President Sonia Gandhi [Images], some Congress leaders spoke about Telangana sentiment. "The issue is in the hands of Mrs Sonia Gandhi, and she will take an appropriate decision at an appropriate time," he explained.

Asked whether he would treat the resignations issue as a 'political drama', the chief minister laughed and did not respond further on the issue.
