A 35-year-old person, who was among those injured when run over by a car that killed six persons in suburban Bandra, has succumbed to injuries.

Raju Kimappa Mandla, admitted to Bhabha Hospital following the accident early Sunday morning, died later at night, police said on Monday.

Raju was brought in a critical condition.

Six persons, including two children, were killed on the spot and 14 injured when the car carrying party revellers, who were allegedly drunk, ran over the labourers sleeping on a pavement.

The six deceased were identified as Chinnama Loda (30), Mani Mamma Tinnma (25), Savita Timanna (5), Laxmimanna Raju Malla (25), Ajamma Basappa (35) and Devu Basappa (8).

The six occupants of the car, including its driver Aliston Pereira (21), were arrested soon after the accident.

Pereira, booked under Section 304 of Indian Penal Code (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), has been remanded to police custody till November 14.

Craig Pereira, Kenroy Jacob, Curt D`Lima, Marvin Pinto and Ronela Santamay were booked under Bombay Prohibition Act and released on a bail of Rs 5,000 each.
