With the chilling militant attack on a Congress meeting and two grenade attacks in the heart of Srinagar [Images] ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's [Images] visit to the Valley, the Jammu and Kashmir [Images] police are taking no chances.

The police have began patrolling on Dal Lake, which is close to the conference centre over-looking the lake.

Dr Singh is scheduled to arrive at Srinagar on 24 May for the two-day roundtable conference with political leaders.
