In a rare show of bipartisan support for the US-India civil nuclear deal, more than 70 lawmakers from of the US Congress attended a reception hosted by New York hotelier Sant Singh Chatwal on May 17 at Capitol Hill.
2004 Democratic presidential candidate, Senator John Kerry (top), and former First Lady Hillary Clinton [Images] (bottom) were among the guests at the reception, which was hosted to lobby for pressing the lawmakers to ratify Congressional legislation on the US-India civil nuclear deal.
Zee TV chairman Subhash Chandra was also present.
