A Delhi [Images] court on Tuesday acquitted all those accused in the Jessica Lal [Images] murder case. The key accused, Manu Sharma, is the son of an ex-minister.

Now consider these cases:

Former navy chief Admiral S N Nanda's grandson Sanjiv Nanda was charged with mowing down six people -- including three cops. He was also allegedly drunk.

During trial, key witnesses turned hostile, and Nanda was acquitted.

Santosh Kumar Singh, son of an IPS officer J P Singh, was charged with raping and murdering a 22-year-old law student.

The judge, while acquitting Singh, even said he knew this is the man who committed the crime but was being given the benefit of the doubt. The judge also observed that the Delhi Police had assisted the accused.

And then the Puru Rajkumar case in Mumbai where the actor's son ran over and killed several slum dwellers and got away with a light fine.

Are these mere coincidences? Or is it that the rich are getting away with any crime they commit?
