Denying that Pakistan was interfering with the Indo-US nuclear deal, Pakistan's envoy to the US has said it was ready to agree for a Washington-monitored moratorium on fissile material production with New Delhi in order to get a similar agreement.

"...we were supportive of a non-aggression pact in the past, we were supportive of a nuclear weapons-free zone in the past, we were supportive of a restraint regime; and today, if bilaterally, the US can facilitate a moratorium on fissile material production or on testing, we are very happy to be part of that," retired General Jahangir Karamat said.
