The body of slain Jammu and Kashmir [Images] Education Minister Ghulam [Images] Nabi Lone was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Sangrama in Baramulla district Tuesday evening, official sources said.
Lone was killed by militants at his official residence at the high security Tulsibagh area in Srinagar [Images] Tuesday morning.
The body of Lone was taken to his home at Noorpora village for performing certain rituals before being laid to rest in the ancestral graveyard.
Tourism Minister G H Mir, Minister of State for Home A R Veeri, senior Congress leader G R Kar and People's Democratic Party leader Maulvi Iftikar Hussain Ansari were present for the burial.
