Twenty Shiv Sainiks were arrested in Pune on Monday after they allegedly beat up some Maharashtra State Electricity Board employees.
Those arrested were part of a large group protesting against the current power crisis in the state.
The group scaled the walls of MSEB's office at Rasta Peth and beat up the employees, police said.
The police resorted to lathi-charge to control the crowd.
Some media personnel also suffered injuries.
In Nagpur, a group of more than 20 people stormed into the MSEB office and mobbed urban circle chief engineer to protest against load shedding.
There was, however, no violence.
In Akola, Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Govardhan Sharma led a group of protesters to the local MSEB office but there was no untoward incident.
Activists of Samajwadi Party squatted on the tracks and blocked the Mumbai-bound Vidarbha Express between Ajni and Khapi station near Nagpur.
