Parliament proceedings were stalled on Wednesday after the National Democratic Alliance-led Opposition protested against the government formation issue in Jharkhand.

The Opposition objected to Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi's decision to invite the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-Congress alliance to form the government.

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned for the day.

A day after a similar disruption over the turmoil in Goa [Images], Bharatiya Janata Party members stormed the well of the Lok Sabha.

Speaker Somnath Chatterjee adjourned the House.

Leader of the Opposition L K Advani charged Razi with 'subverting' the people's verdict and dubbed it as a 'murder of democracy.'

He regretted that the governor had not invited the NDA to form the government even after five Independents supported the alliance in writing.

With similar scenes in the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat adjourned the House within half an hour. NDA members trooped into the well, shouting slogans against the United Progessive Alliance.
