Former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and his six accomplices, who are facing charges of allegedly poaching endangered wild animals, remained incommunicado, official sources said on Wednesday.

Police has given Pataudi and six others time till June 10 to appear before it to join the investigation, superintendent of police Hanief Qureshi said.

'If the accused don't surrender till June 10 then we will conduct raids to arrest them from their possible hideouts,' he said.

The police seized the blue Maruti [Get Quote] gypsy, which had a rifle, a gun, live cartridges and the carcasses of a black buck and two rabbits, Qureshi said.

Sources added that there has been no intimation of the whereabouts of Pataudi and others.

One of the alleged accused Madan Singh of Aurangpur village is in judicial custody till June 13.

Pataudi and seven of his accomplices have been charged under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act and if found guilty could face seven years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 25,000.

A first information report has been registered against the seven accused.

Pataudi is accused of allegedly poaching wild animals in a wildlife sanctuary in Jhajjar.
