Janata Dal-United leader Nitish Kumar has demanded that Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav make his stand clear on his relation with the Congress party in the wake of information made public by former chief minister and veteran Congress leader Satyendra Narayan Sinha.

Sinha, in his recently released book at Patna titled Meri Yaden, Meri Bhool has blamed Congress leaders like former Bihar chief minister Bhagwat Jha Azad and Assembly Speaker Shivchandra Jha for letting the communal flare-up in Bhagalpur district spin out of control.

During his ongoing Nyay Yatra, Nitish, who is being projected as the National Democratic Alliance's chief ministerial candidate ahead of the next assembly polls, demanded that Lalu Yadav sever his ties with the Congress as it was allegedly responsible for the Bhagalpur riots.
