A special daily newspaper, live webcast of all events, Internet-connected PCs for journalists to cover the programmes as they unfold and a grand stage performance would all be part of Bharatiya Janata party silver jubilee celebrations this month-end in Mumbai.

To be held under the supervision of party's techno-savvy General Secretary Pramod Mahajan, over 4,000 party delegates are attending the three-day jamboree at the Bandra Reclamation Ground, which witnessed the party's launch 25 years ago with Atal Bihari Vajpayee as party president and L K Advani as its general secretary.

However, the re-enactment of the 1980 launch would be different from the original event in many respects.

While M C Chagla, a non-party leader was one of the key speakers at the first conclave, no leaders from any other organisation, including Sangh Parivar affiliates or even Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh have been invited for the three-day do beginning December 28, Mahajan told reporters in an informal chat.

The party's national executive meeting, preceding the conference, would begin on December 26 evening and conclude the next day. Besides adopting resolutions on political, economic and foreign affairs and internal security, the meeting would also deliberate on the party's strategy for the upcoming Assembly polls in five states, he said.

The national conference would begin with flag hoisting by Vajpayee followed by screening of a film on the party's 25 year journey.

The first session will also have a three-hour drama 'Zanta Raja' (Knowledgeable King) with all pomp and pageantry including horses and elephants on a specially erected stage.
