Sonia asks CM to launch massive flood relief operations in Maharashtra

Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh twice and asked him to launch massive relief operations in the state in the wake of the devastation caused by incessant rains.

Gandhi told Deshmukh to take all steps to provide basic necessities, including water and electricity, to people in rain-hit areas.
