NDA to boycott parliamentary panels

July 26, 2004 14:22 IST

After stalling parliamentary proceedings over the Shibu Soren issue, the opposition National Democratic Alliance on Monday decided to boycott the consultative and standing committees of Parliament protesting against the 'confrontationist' approach of the United Progressive Alliance government.

Bharatiya Janata Party vice-president and spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told PTI in Delhi that the decision was taken at a meeting of NDA leaders in Delhi.
