The Nehru Trust for Cambridge University, in collaboration with the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust, offers scholarships including the Gates Cambridge Scholarships to pursue a course of research leading to a PhD degree at the University of Cambridge.

Citizens of India under the age of 30 (as on October 1, 2005) who have a first class honours degree or its equivalent are eligible to apply. However, preference may be given to a first class Master's degree or its equivalent.

The scholarships, tenable for up to three years, will cover the University fee at the home rate, college fees, a maintenance allowance and return airfare.

Preliminary application forms can be obtained from the Nehru Trust for Cambridge University, Teen Murti House, New Delhi -- 11 by sending a duly stamped, 25 x 10 cms self-addressed envelope. The completed forms must be returned to the above address by July 21.

The interview for the scholarships is likely to take place in June 2005.
