On Tuesday, Lord Ganesha emerged in his numerous avatars. Attired in royal finery and accompanied by pomp and pageantry the lord's idols headed for the waterfronts of Mumbai.
Millions flooded the city's streets to bid adieu to the lord. But everyone had a prayer on their lips asking the lord to come back early next year.
