Exactly 100 years ago the Wright brothers achieved what had been the collective dream of mankind for generations.
And India celebrated that spirit by taking to the skies.
Fifty-one aircraft of various shapes, sizes and makes were flagged off simultaneously from Barrackpore in the East, Bangalore in the South and Goa in the West. After three days, on Saturday, 43 landed in Nagpur -- the final destination.
The Aeronautical Society of India conducted the race.
After a long haul, participating aircraft line up at the Nagpur airport.
