Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday night after his 10-day visit to the United States and United Kingdom to participate in the BJP's Chintan Baithak (brainstorming session).

Advani, who arrived directly from London by an Air-India flight at 0115 IST, was welcomed at the airport by BJP general secretary Pramod Mahajan, party's Mumbai unit chief Vinod Tawde and party leader Bhai Girkar.

The deputy prime minister later drove straight to Uttan in neighbouring Thane district, the venue of the Chintan Baithak.

The session would conclude on June 20 afternoon with an address by Advani.
