Delhi-Lahore bus from July 11

July 05, 2003 21:09 IST

The Delhi-Lahore bus service will resume from July 11, the Delhi Transport Corporation announced on Saturday.

DTC received a formal communication from the central government on Saturday evening for plying of the two buses after a gap of over 18 months.

Bookings will start from Monday, DTC spokesman Suneet Mudgal said.

He said those who want to travel by the 34-seat golden-coloured buses would be required to furnish all necessary travel documents, including passport and visas.

The first bus will start at 0600 IST from the Indian side, Mudgal said, adding during the 527-km journey, the bus will stop at three places -- Pipli, Sirhand and Kartarpur -- for food and refreshment and at Wagah for checking.
